I'll do my best. I really want to try a 'water' product on those little bases. Woodglue shrinks too much.

But I need to get all my bikkies in a row first run

Have a look at Woodland Scenics Water Kit you can buy it from model train supplys shops. It can cover 28 square inches (180 sq cm ).

I've seen the stuff, looks pretty good. In the meantime I'll just layer up woodglue if I have the patience to try any water scenes

Thought it time to replace my beat up cutting mat so I went to town and found they only had pink ones. I'm rolling with it

i was looking for a light coloured 1 before, only found the green.
i would like a light coloured to contrast dark pieces so i can see them... old eyes aint what they used to be.
pink would be great!

I'm the opposite, it's mostly light colours I suck with  To me that mat there looks mostly pink but in poor light it looks powder blue, which my mind would lose light grey/silver pats on  It's good though, nice to have a nice clean surface to crap up... taking bets on which jar of paint I'll knock over on it first ohno

Done a new video, it's 18 minutes-ish and took abotu 24 hours to upload at my current internet speed, the guinneapig they've got powering the Aussie internet must be getting tired  *Lotsa swearin'*

I really did mess up the paint on those models good. They're completely saveable but I've about more than doubled the amount of time I'll spend on the paint by messing it up so well.

Yeah I'm still going back and fourth about doing the arches seigloss black. I'm thinking of getting some valleyo black to do the windoe frame of the door black ad well as the little B-pillar bit since I've heard wonderful things about brushpainted Vallejo Model Air colours being really great with the self-leveling.

I'm also unsure how to do the bots of the grille that are on the body, I was thinking BMF to tie it in to the window trim but now maybe a metallic grey but that would leave me with the connundrum of what to do with the actual grille insert piece. I did a test with BMF around the nosecone bit that frames the actual crosshatch grille texture... I'll figure it out

You've got me thinking about maybe some Yenko-esque black stripes down the side now  Once the body is that browny-green and cleared I'll have a better idea of where I'm going with it I suppose
