The temp' might had some thing to do with it, some times sitting the rattle can in warm water or sunlight helps to warm up the paint.

On another note been a Steam Loco fan (nut) Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 is back on the rails after its been restored, Union Pacific's biggest loco, sad thing its been changed from coal fire to oil fired.
Big Boy and 844 are now double heading to Ogden near Promontory for the 150 Anniversary of the golden spike, When they meet building the first transcontinental railroad east to west.
Had a N-scale Big-boy loco once let it slip out of my hands still a sore point about that.

Yup TS-15 blue. I think you may be right. I’ll try for a 22 degree day and stick the body in a warm place next time.

I always heat the cans Al as it also helps the paint mix in case you don’t shake them enough.

I have 4 older Jap car body’s painted. 1 VIP and I am hoping to get 1 more painted before the cold sets in. I built the Laurel in a month so I know I can do it. Just need to be more productive and build more

The Atmosphere temp' will do funny things to paint.
I airbrushed two car bodys once on the same day both were Tamiya Sky blue gloss on turned out fine second one had patchy paint gloss and flat, done one then the second one 5min's later.
Both were painted on a warm spring day but as I started second one a large cloud moved above me the atmosphere dropped enough to change the paint.
Might of help to warm the body.

I agree with that Al, once it starts cooling down say 21 degrees n drops to 16 it will ruin paint. When I done this body it would have stayed at 20 degrees for 2-3 hours. Here’s where mine dry. The western wall of the shed kinda near the window.

I have caught myself out more then once it was fine to airbrush just because the sun is out and no wind and start to airbrush and have the gun and paint freeze up as the Atmosphere temp' was to low, ya think one work learn that after the first time it happens but no.

Oh you would find the metal cupboard a lot colder inside then one would think.
I stuffed a truck body that was painted in enamel as sat it in a old car to dry out of the wind for 5 min's pullinghair the air went blue that day yes!

Seen my Doc' today got the Ok and all clear from the scans and test that I had done just got one more scan of the heart.

We are in for a Winter blast tomorrow its started last night jezz it was cold and today its colder, fingers keep on rolling up with the cold give up unrolling them you blokes down south of the country are going to get the cold blast first. Its gotten to cold here to do anymore airbrushing so might end up going back to my art work untill it warms up again. yes! Things will slow down on here over the next few months too. yes!
