Summer Drift CB project

Post by sandboarder »

Time to get going with this kit. As I’m a fan of the US Formula Drift series I decided on an American car and this kit. I’ll start this one after I post my completed C210. Here’s the kit and a few examples.

Cheers Luke the plan is to build it with a wheel swap and race/competition livery. I’d like to fit a Fugu hydro handbrake but I don’t have one and I’m not sure if it’s even fit in the race car interior. I think the kits is already a wide body and has the right aero for what pro drifters use. I’ll find out when I open the box

Watch a Vette go sides in the hills is great. At the end after the credit he gets so close to smashing a really expensive looking camera!!

Still sealed and it’s an interesting looking kit

The kit tyres are 18” so here’s some quick mocks. On Aoshima TE37s

On Factory81 resin Work Professor’s

On some C1 resin fifteen52 wheels

I’ll probably go with these at this stage

I'm already loving the range of drifters... different to the standard nissan stuff. LOVE IT!
Them fifteen 52's are the go... I could be bias on those tho

I need to change the wheel mounts for the fifteen 52s but I’ll do that next. The kit came with 2 sets of wheels so I quickly painted one set and done a mock up

Notice some cheeky roll cage poking thru. I’ll have to remember that for my colour choices

Chassis includes a front splitter too
