What you get in the box

Post by slowlylearning »

Decided to start photographing what actually comes in the boxes of wheels/kits etc. I wish more kits included actual pictures of what's in em' on the packaging to make it easier to separate me from my money  Join in if ya want, I've got a fair few sets of wheels to photograph and post up

Aoshima Techno Phantom 14inch with stretch tyres.

Aoshima Shadow Spoke 14inch with stretch tyres.

Aoshima MK-II with camber tyres. Two piece design.
Image

Aoshima Techno TRV 14inch with camber tyres.
Image

Aoshima MK-I 14inch with camber tyres. The chrome on these is a bit thick with some impurities, but still good. You can see on the boxart that the centers are brushed, some flat clear would get that effect.

Aoshima MK-III 14inch with camber tyres. Two piece design.

I'll keep adding to the list in this thread. Got a fair few more wheel sets and a real special set in the mail run

Welcome Bear, have a seat brother. There's no shame here. We're all wheelaholics.

Well I felt better after I went 'round' and 'spoke' about my affliction. I was so 'tired' of hiding my sickness.

These puns are treading a fine line between wheely good or just chatter
If they get too flat, we will have to rubber them out and get to the hub of the problem before revolving this thread.

I would be disappointed with some of those wheel sets, I have only ever bought 1 set of wheels in my life like that, so I'm barely broken in... I would see the box and assume, you get what's on there. I would buy for the red or gold, open the box and find chrome... be like wheely?! I have to strip and paint these?! somebody rimmed me real good!

I've been scorned by faux-2 piece wheels before :( I do have some awesome ones I didn't think were 2 piece but turned out to be though! I'm still trawling through my wheels slowly while I wait for these delivereries.

Aoshima AWC Steel Daytona 16 inch. The tyres are big! But really nice. My lamp-thing makes these look weird but the black paint is smooth as heck. I was pleasantly surprised that they came with the chrome caps as separate bits.

Aoshima Leonhardiritt Bugel 20 inch. The tyres in this version of em are the cambered type.

Aoshima VIP Modular Wheels VXS110 19 inch. 1 Piece.

Dove in to my stack of Fujimi wheels  I've got the wire wheels from them, but they're a build in unto themselves! So I'll do em later. Maybe. Probably not.

Fujimi Volk Racing Formula S 17 inch. They came with nicely detailed Brenbo brakes but I used em on a build with deffierent wheels :lol I think they're the brakes on the Altezza.

Fujimi Fabulous Profound 18 inch.

Fujimi BBS V-Spec 17 inch.
Image

Fujimi BBS LM Wheel.
Image

Fujimi Hayashi Street 15 inch.
Image

Fujimi Work Meister 18 inch. 2 piece design. These wheels rock, the way they go together is cool as heck.
