Peterbilt COE

Post by B61 MACK »

I am burnt out building cars and pickup trucks so I am looking at building a COE Peterbilt truck. I got this one of my mate Ken, we did a swap for stock rims and front bumper bar. Still thinking on the colours for it.

No offense intended mate but why white?
This would be a killer in a metallic colour.. like a metallic green or orange or even red with white or chrome accents

Still thinking on colours, Ya The white would look to boring, Have to talk to my mate Bruce about painting with a rattle can I can not control them end up with to much paint on and runs in it. The engine colour is a bluey/green colour.

Ray the kit came out in 1979 that's why you have not see it before, Its a custom show truck there is a custom bit that sits over the turn table and the rear wheels you can just see it in the box art.

Jezz there is a lot of flashing on this one, Its fun trying to work out were the parts go paper work has the numbers on it but the plastic tree does not have it pullinghair its going to be long & slow build trying to work out were parts go. thinking dunno crossed I get it down, Think car kits are a lot easyer to work out.

I'm hearing you mate, that was an epic mistake chucking out the engine bits for my Kenworth T600, it's really done my head in, but I have managed to fabricate the relevant hoses and mounts for the turbos....then again, I have the V8 out of the Aerodyne kit that fits, but needs a couple of mods to suit popcorn

I'm still pondering over an additional colour to contrast with the red and silver, I keep thinking chrome yelllow just to cover up some masking lines which are noticable. The idea of using the barbed wire decals is another option as well dunno
