being unemployable really SUCKS! You start to work out where your money is going each fortnight and someone surprise's you with another expense.

Lets see
Car rego
RC car payment
naughty boy fine
rent

then mum pops up with don't forget its mothers day this weekend well F#$@ me anyone else want blood from this stone? Will I ever be able to keep some money in the bank? What a stupid question to ask, I know the answer to that already. With the new hobby and the plans I have for the rest of the year that's a BIG FAT NO! Oh well time to look at other cheaper options for some of life's little issues.

Agree with that mate. Haven't saved a cent since the last round of bills and guess what? We got the water bill last week so it's already time for the next round.

Agree, you just have to be tight as a fishes bum when your not employed ;)

I've saved hundreds over the last year since buying cheaper products such as Coles or Woolies own brand stuff....

Ray once you get a few more Aldi stores open over your way you find you save a lot more. On another thing you think that a Hobby shop that is the biggest in the Hunter would keep stock up. Frontline has gone down hill of late, Most of there car kit range is out of stock not that I buy a lot as they have high price on them, Now there are running low on the Tamiya color acrylic paint range I use could be a month before they get more in stock  Even Toyworld in Maitland car kits are now close to $50 dollar mark there are two smaller model shops here one now does not get kits in he has mainly RC planes, the other does not have large range as he sells RC too. Have tried auto paint but bugger a few body's using it  Tried Humbrol enamel but it takes to long to dry have had fly's stick to the paint while drying, Think I might just build the cars with no paint. :D Ok I will now get off my soap box and go train spotting.

I'm watching Schindler's List, almost at the end. I have a terrible feeling I shouldn't watch it all the way through.

Well, where do I start??????
I was made redundant on the 19th Feb, 8 weeks of trying to deal with Centrelink, OMFG what an absolute nightmare. Anyway, finally got that sorted.
Tried selling my un restored 56 Chev a while back, got the normal lowballers and tyre kickers so pulled it off the market. Put it back on about 2 weeks ago, had a bloke ring me last Tuesday, looked at it Thursday morning, picked it up Thursday arvo. SOLD
Had job interview Wednesday, got a call Friday to say I got it. Only contract till end of August but hopefully lead to full time. Mu missus also got a call Friday and was offered a job lecturing at a collage, woohoo. We both start this Monday.
Wait, there's more, put our house on the market last Thursday, had open house on Sunday, got 1 cash offer 10k over our "offers over" price, signed contract Tuesday, pest and building inspection tomorrow, then hopefully unconditional Tuesday. Now looking for a rental, inspecting 2 houses tomorrow.
Oh, also just bought my daughter her first car today, her grandfather had put money away for her so we paid cash and she has some left over for rego and insurance, lucky girl.
Man, I need to go back to work for a rest, I"m buggered.
