Here's some stuff! Description underneath.

Image

Drew up and printed some f-100 badges for a mates 1/10 scale RC 4x4 rock crawler thing. They need another support on the 5, but I'm happy with how the test went. 1cm long and 5mm wide IIRC

Image
Did up some Rotiform wheels with a version for their aerodisk covers. Both those and the smaller Fifteen52 ones need a little bit of a redesign to combar warping and the way the covers mount. I don't thin the wheels that hold them will have much spoke-detail aside from the very outer edge that pokes out past the aero cover things :lol:

Image
The Rotiform website has a bunch of images you can use to have a vinyl shop make stickers for the aerodisks, so naturally I did my best with the limited computer-arting skills I have and copied some over. There was a donut-themed one I wanted, but I couldnt edit that image well enough so I made a blank template and made my own donut one. And a pretty mandala one too. Maybe I'll get around to have a couple of the designs made in to decals for the scale aerodisks, maybe not. either way it was a fun exercise yes!

magnify Those bagdes are impressive.
Its amazing how you can print such fine details, like the segments slots on the covers and the detail in the centre cap Wow!

Yeah you are ahead of the game for sure.

No doubt the future of modelling will be to buy files instead of boxes of plastic and print your own kits.

There's 'kit cards' around for cool little models, so I rekon you're right. Though I think it'll be used in manufacturing rather than selling people the files. Like Aoshima would invest in crazy good printers as they get cheaper and more competitive with injection casting. But I rekon we're a bit of a way from that cost-wise thinking

Millenium Falcon kit card.

Today on 'Why Do I Punish Myself Like This';

:lol:

Image
These are the Rotiform Aerodisks on some Rotiform wheels I forget the name of. This is the culmination of the V2. On v1 the Aerodisk just sat on top of the wheel, and due to the cone-ish shape of it the resin tends to warp in a flower-closing kinda way where it has more of a cone shape after thewarping, so I added a cylinder to the back to a. help it retain its shape and b. seat more nicely in the channel I added to the disk-version of the spokeface.

All that faffing because I wanted the disks to be changeable :lol:

Had a break from the complicated stuff and did a fairly simple wheel, it's called a Southern Ways Cross. Thinkin' of chucking them under a Subaru Acylone thinking
