Like your idea of rebuilding matchbox cars and hotwheels. I picked up a lot about 15 years ago for 50c each I was going to repaint them striped some and thats were in end, Might have to look into it again.
Wire wheels look cool too.

 The floor definitely needs a good vacuum but I've dropped so many tiny parts on it that I need to find first! The wire wheels are fairly easy now that I know how to do em, placing the 2 sets of spokes together on the same barrel is a very good feeling when they fit and I've not messed up the number of spokes

make sure you check how much your hotwheels are worth on Ebay Al, some may be worth a pretty penny! I've been trying to track down some of the 2003 releases but I can't afford em'!

Really digging that kombi van. Is it a 23 window version?

The surf boards have to be loose. Some one complained and the following year the surf boards were milder in to the interior tub. Anything in the Redline series is worth money these days. I’ve got some cool stuff but nothing rare. A few Dolerean’s, VT commodores and a heap of bonshakers now :D love Hot Rods

I used to have a bunch of cool ones, gave em away when I moved house in Brizzy, then I accrued anoer cool bunch then gave those away too when I moved here  I had a VS Commodore from Matchbox, never did end up getting a VT though, I do remember em though, some of em had wild paintjobs!

I'm stuck between wanting to own cool stuff like that but also not really because I might lose it or break it

Yeah the buss is a 23 window, great kit, 1pc body. That Scale Modeling Channel dude did one not long ago I think.

When I bought two of the (MONARO) GTO PONTIAC kits there was a blue die cast car with it, still have one gave the other one to Bruce, He gave me a BIANTE mini cars its a 1978 Holden VB Commodore SL/E in Jasmine Yellow, Scale 1/64, Its one of the best little die-cast I have ever seen still in its little display case box.
Most of the cheap ones I picked up are Matchbox and paint on them is very damage so was just going to repaint them think there were some NASCAR too.

It's been get up, 3d draw comissions, sleep, repeat lately  But I've had a smidge for my own stuff.

Shaved the side trim and rear side window trim off this old Caprice and got a coat of primer on it.

Image

Tried out a custom grille but ti was a bit annoying and a little too modern fo my liking so now its a horizontal one.

Image

Tried to get some masking practice in... It went alright

Image

I finally got off my bum and tried Alclad! Took me long enough. I found the results pretty inconsistent, even during the same batch of wheels I painted. I really had to try and stay on top of backpurge mixing it.

Image

Got that wee Celica in primer ande mocked up the 4-spoke cragar style wheels on it.

Also got these dandies in paint. Theyre just a funky design some company has that I snaked away for my own uses

Banana  There's some red and gold pearl powder in there (Luke :D ) and the fat clear coats have macro pearl in them because I didn't notice it in there until I started putting that clear on :P
