I been thinking with no more new Ford Falcon & the Holden Commodore what are they going to be using as the next race cars & what about the utes, It was a sad day that we have no more Falcon's & Commodore.

Holden will be the new imported Commodore - 888 built with a twin turbo V6 most likely.

No word on Ford yet, still being investigated as to whether or not they will even be involved. They are not involved financially any more anyway but with Roger Penske involved in the back ground anything in possible.

Volvo are gone at the end of the year. Currently only Holden and Nissan are committed to the series as factory teams, though Ford will still be competing.

Nope. Erebus parked those cars at the end of last year as they were never factory supported and were too expensive to run.
So Erebus now run two ex-Walkinshaw Commodores. The Mercs are just sitting in the corner of a workshop unloved and unwanted.

Good chance you will still see them next year, running the same long in the tooth FG and VE's
I did a design for Great Wall a while back, that never went anywhere because the Ute of the Future never got built but Great Wall is putting a toe into the race scene.. so you never know. they may just enter 1 or 2 to see how they go.
The category will open up the same as the main game, not just 8's but Turbo 6's allowed. it will all be about parity tho.

Sunday night is normally a pain for me.. can't sleep, thinking about how much work has been left for me since i finished my previous week on thursday.. coz i work with lazy bastards!
was ironing my weeks uniforms around 830pm and all the power went out.
Short version... 3 drunks in a car, wiped out a pole around the corner. it made it on to the news yesterday too.
What the news didn't say and I am hoping they do another story on it to point this out...
1 of the occupants, unknown if he was the driver tho. was an 18 yr old zac. he is a know knob! he hoons arond the streets all the time, posts videos of him doing burnouts and even just missing hitting an oncoming car in 1 of his latest. and his girlfriend, not sure if any of you saw this on the news a few months back. an unaccompanied learner hit an oncoming car, causing it to flip and kill the elderly woman in it... the learner was high after admitting to smoking 5 bongs before driving... yep, his girlfriend. 2 pillars of the community.
I'm not going to say i hope he dies in hospital but I won't be sad if he does, at least my streets will be safer for my kids to ride their bikes.

around the corner, lost it at high speed, veered left between the parked cars and wiped out the pole.. he hit that hard, the imprint of his licence plate is in the wood of the pole. spun across the road, burst in to flames.
