Cheers guys, can't get carried away, but after not hearing back from any jobs applied for over the last month I was starting to get a little p.ssed off.....
But, to get two hits on a single day was a welcome relief
Like I said, real tough these days and it's not just SA, all Australia unfortunately
You just have to keep at it hoping something will happen.....eventually
Yeah SA got the nod to build subs.....that's going to take years just to get one up and running and to get a job on the tools there would be like waiting for paint to dry!
As an ex Defence Serviceman, I'm still not convinced if this is going to be money well spent
dunno

Yeah good luck Ray.
Thought you'd found a job not long ago, clearly I'm mistaken.

I have been looking over my half started kits lately. Hopefully I'll get a few finished this year crossed

Top stuff Ray, I hope it goes well for ya! How's the interview process compared to how it used to be in the olden days
I know how youre feelin Sandy, theres not too any kits I own that I havent ripped into, and with more on the way (Thanks to Ian and DD
) I don't see that changing... I love starting a kit, and don't place much importance on having a shelf of finished projects. It's a journey and I plan to get the most out of it. That being said I'm lookin forward to getting this Catalina off my desk in the coming days

slowlylearning, Its the smell of open a new kit for the first time that gets ya yes!
Bruce (silverfox) keeps telling me that
its the new plastic smell. yes!

Re: How was your day?
Well today there was two completely different interview techniques.....one formal and the other informal, so from one end of the scale to the otherslowlylearning wrote:Top stuff Ray, I hope it goes well for ya! How's the interview process compared to how it used to be in the olden days![]()

Hope it all went well Ray!!!!!
Re: How was your day?
Would not of been WD-40 as its a aussie product and is only just gone into stores over there and its flying off the shelfs.
Re: How was your day?
Speaking of things flying off the shelves in the states...
Chicken salt
yep, they never knew about it, just got it and it's gone bananas!!
They are even using it to make margarita's.. chicken salt around the rim of the glass, does not sound appealing to me but hey, as long as they buy our exports, they can snort it for all I care.
Go on, someone say what i did... surely they had it, KFC uses it... errr wrong! KFC in the states uses plain salt on their chips. a US friend confirmed that for me too.
So us aussies, once again, are flavour trend setters. Tim Tams went off last year.. i even sent a pack of each I could get my hands on to a friend, all the limited edition ones etc.
She could only find normal, double coat and chewy caramel on the shelves.. when there was any on the shelves at all.
I wonder what else we take for granted that the yanks don't have.
Allens lollies comes to mind.. my brother brough back some lollies from Hawaii... yea, give me Allens any day.
