Saw these strange wheels, Had to give modeling em a go

They're from a company called Kompression or something

Image

A few small differences but in the intetrest of not spending more than an hour or so on em I decided to leave out some stuff

 I highly doubt a scarty amount of modern custom wheels arent properly stress-tested for road use, makes them seem really scary!

Test-prints wen't great, nary an issue save for a couple of supports in odd places, but I'm happy with em... Not sure they suit the Camaro but They might grow on me at some point... Really need to get the Alclad going but it's been so cold and I haven't been really motivated to shiver in the garage for longer than it takes to set a print and then go clean the parts

The prints look a lot better then the 1:1s drool the Camaro has lines and the wheel have curves but they look amazing with some paint on them. Would you consider a metallic bronze or something similar question

Not sure I'll ever have these wheels on a build, too many other ideas  Was more to challenge myself a little bit with a more complicated 3d model and get the process from reference material to physical object a bit more efficient (Around 6 hours, ~40mins drawing time, ~5 hours printing time). But maybe some doodz I know would like to utilize em?

Cheers guys, having a ball! hi5

Ain't been slowing down on the 3d stuff too much

I made a scaling error and didnt notice until these solenoids were printed, I'm very surprised they even printed

Did a quick part design for someone, apparently its some sort of valve for a hydro setup. Loks like something you'd get from a bathroom faucet store to me
Image

Started (very roughly) the bones of a Barra motor. A Ford enbthusiast on Instagram was nice enough to ask people to message me with good reference pictures of bare blocks and heads. Great bunch of people.

I found it easier to start at the top of the block and I'll work my way down with the basic shapes then add all the ribbing etc, etc. Then I'll build the head up from the bottom... Longterm thing this
Image

First test print of that plumbing part, sized at 3.5mm total horizontal length. A bit small and I had the supports a bit too close to the part so they bound together. Still waiting for the real size they need to be from the dude. Running 4.1mm total horizontal length ones with revised supports now.

A quick design iI did for someone else
Image

Some sort of fancy gearstick for yet another person  (Will be printing tests soon of these ones)
Image

I know these already exist in scale but the Fujimi ones kinda have weird sinkmarks on the face of them, and it was fin to draw these for a project of my own
Image

I knew I'd lose the scripting on the face of it in the orientation I printed them in, just wanted to give it a go for practice adding test to stuff
Image

Printed at .045 layer height, just for a test. Have since done .024 versions after the below test.
