Not a whole lot, planning and scheming  Did a HLJ order but wussed out and cancelled it, need the cash more rofl

I pulled out this old Fujimi Honda van, wanna go full Mini Truckin' style if I can (Good reference pics are weirdly hard to find and I don't have any of those kinda magazines). Looking in to making some true-fire flame stencils and having a crack at that, maybe 2tone, black with flames on the bottom seperated by a tribal sorta design and a bright colour on top.. Not really sure yet. Just flinging shit and seeing what sticks thinking Sliced up some wheels from a Revell Firebird and stuffed em in the Revell lowpro tuner tyres, so it's a start.

Fully chromed the other set of bbq wheels for that Hilux, liking the look of em!

Chop the roof, turn it into a short nose ute, build a spaghetti frame with trick cantilever suspension all exposed and on display yes! Paint job sounds insane and knowing you will be crazy

Yep! Decided to try out the toothpaste polish idea, works okay, only did the roof and bonnet for a test. I think I'll wait till I'm solvent enough to buy the real compounds

Got the window frams blacked and the BMF started on one side and the back winduh, had rellies over the last couple-a days so not alot got done.

Got the van in primer then black then tried my wobbly hands at some flames.... Shooting paint thats been thinned so much with a .5 needle needs a lot of troubleshooting, I got lots of semi-dried speckles for some reason. Got lotsa idea off of Instagram to try.... Gotta try to make a smaller flame-mask stencil too, not overly happy with the practice bit I did on the roof of the van (which will be sanded aand painted over anyway so no biggie)

I have a .3mm needle for my airbrush biut when I put it in and the appropriate nozzle, cap on it just backpurged and nothing came out, even with water. I think I'd need to thin the paint within an inch of it's life, add retarder/flowaid and crank the psi to 35 or something. I really does feel like th estars need to be in a certain position for the airbrush to work.... I am good at cleaning it though!

drool Skyline is looking great mate, providing no distraction you should finish that over the weekend yeah :P

The van itself was killa, but then you fire/flame it bowdown that type of true fire/flame is tricky but you look as though you got it sussed well done look forward too seeing it evolve.

As for the airbrush issue, check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G87CbuDPFrI might help

WOW! He uses no stencils whatsoever to do that! that's insane! I've LOVE to get some cheap skateboard decks and paint em up with all sorts of stuff... Would need a lot more paint through  And maybe a bit of a better airbrush, mines a cheap-o Chinese thing I got for like $70  I think that's the next thing on my list of model tools to get that's gonna cost me a fair bit thinking

Cheers guys, Just doing the last few annoying bit on the red Skyline then give it a bit of a clean (flocking pullinghair )and it's doneski

You do some excellent work now with the equipment you have, upgrade and you will be :D .

I suggested it to you before I think and would be a good one for ya, will do fine work and heavy. Iwata HP.CR Revolution .5mm needle. Quality for sure.
