Mock up Monday’s

When I started airbrushing the surfacer, thought I was painting wood striations.
If the body was at least 1-1.5mm thick id consider actually building this. But its to fragile to block sand down the striations and do the door lines
Thats my main criticism the body is way to thin need double the thickness, other than that its amazing how much fine detail can be printed.

That’s looking great. Going to have a go and give it a sand? The guy who build the Foxicorn said the printed body’s were easy to sand so I’m guessing they are soft enough to clean up quickly.

The wheels under it look great. I expect to see them on more mock ups if you don’t build the ute.

Think you find you need to put a coat of Auto spray putty on first before you put primer on it.

Spray putty / primer to fill some striations, don't put too much pressure on as you sand.
Hey... if you destroy it, lesson learnt and you'll get a new one anyway in the new year.
have a crack and see how you go
I also use a pen sander so that might be cheating

As I been bored of late and looking at my stash of kits I dragged this one out to look at.
It came from Bruce it's a old MPC kit Pro Street Mustang II and as you can see it's in yellow plastic.
The hood scoop was missing and he found another one that fitted the hole and it has mid blue strip decals which I will not be using.
At one point silverfish has had a feed of the paper work.
I like to paint it plain black but every time I painted something black in the pass I end up with orange peel surface.

Talking to Bruce on the phone this afternoon about what models have I been building told him mainly HO builds, Did talk about a pickup truck but tonight this Mustang has go me so may look at doing it.

I take it you don't like the Mustang II, I like the look of them, some say you can not help bad taste. some one got to love the ugly ones.
