Bodgy's latest project

Post by bodgybro »

Seeing as Chaz has now posted on facebook his new helmet, I can share with you, my latest project.
I have partnered with Anthony from Antman Helmet Designs, to create miniature scale helmets. We have been playing with scales for a few weeks and settled on 1/3 scale to be different to other miniature model helmets. Our key selling feature is pretty obvious when you see the prototype below... but in case you can't spot it, it has the drivers face inside the helmet and neck/collar as the mounting base.
The face in this prototype is actually Chaz Mostert's face, 3D morphed from his pic.
My part is the design, print/production of the helmets, Antman will do the painting and sales to the drivers who get their 1:1's done by him.
This prototype is 1/2 scale and will be done up as Chaz's new lid, given to him (not to keep :D ) to show off at Bathurst hopefully. Antman has to paint up 6 full size replica's of his new lid for Bathurst so the mini will be added to the delivery. IF we can get it back from Chaz, it will return to me... hopefully signed :)
He will then get approximately 30 for himself in 1/3 scale.
There is another driver already keen on a range of his head but it's a different model helmet, which has mostly been done and his face 3D designed... can't say who yet but he has a crooked nose and sports a Stilo. Another team has expressed interest in a run of 50 for a retiring driver, a special limited edition memorabilia piece, so this could all take off.
anyway... check out the unpainted prototype and Chaz's new lid, prototype goes to Antman this week for paint.

I do plan to get 1 of each helmet we do, for my own collection and with any luck, have each signed.
