How much does it cost to build? Aoshima KHC210 Skyline 2000GT-E/S

With the current discussion about growing cost. I thought I’d start another WIP and lost how much the kit would cost me to build if I didn’t own any tools or paint. I’m prepared to be shocked here but most of us are lucky to already have our tool kits ready.

Here’s what I’ve done so far;
-Aoshima Skyline kit $30 from BNA
-sanding sticks $10
-400 grit paper that came in the kit
-Hobby knife $6
-side cutters $15
-Kmart scissors $5
-Tamiya Primer $16

So $82 to mock up and prep body for primer





Next step for this one is sand primer and the spray body colour.

Mine were free I pinched off a mate but I’ve used those orange scissors for easily 20 years.

Quick wet sand and some colours on.

-sand paper was free from Luke
-Tamiya TS paint $12
